Brightness: Brightness is an important indicator of the moving beam lamp, usually measured by lumens (lm). In general, the higher the lumen value, the brighter the beam, which can produce a strong visual effect in a larger space. For example, for large stage performances or outdoor square shaking beam lights, it is recommended to choose products with higher brightness, such as 200W and above power lamps, whose brightness can usually meet the lighting needs of long distance and large areas.

Color temperature: Color temperature determines the color of light, and common color temperatures range from 2700K to 6500K and beyond. Low color temperature (such as 2700K-3500K) light presents a warm yellow, suitable for creating a warm and romantic atmosphere; Light with a high color temperature (such as 5000K-6500K) presents a cold white, giving a bright, clear feeling, suitable for scenes that need to highlight the details of the object or create a sense of technology.

Color rendering index: Color rendering index (CRI) reflects the ability of the light source to restore the color of the object, the higher the value, the better the color reduction degree. For occasions where color needs to be accurately presented, such as stage performances, studios, etc., a shaking head beam lamp with a high color rendering index (generally requiring CRI≥90) should be selected to ensure that the colors of the actors' costumes, props and scenes can be truly displayed.

Optical system beam Angle: The beam Angle determines the width of the beam. A smaller beam Angle (such as 1° -5 °) can produce a more concentrated and intense beam, which is suitable for long-range projection and creating a concentrating effect, often used for stage lighting or to create special light and shadow effects; Larger beam angles (e.g., 10° -30 °) provide a wider range of illumination and are suitable for illuminating larger areas or as background light4.

Optical lens quality: high-quality optical lenses can improve the transmission efficiency of light and imaging quality, reduce the scattering and distortion of light. Choose a lens made of high-quality optical glass or plastic, and the lens surface should have good flatness and finish to ensure the uniformity and clarity of the beam. Some high-end oscillating beam lamps will also use special designs such as aspherical lenses to further optimize the beam quality.

Prism effect: A prism can split a beam into multiple beams or produce a special pattern effect. If you need rich lighting effects, such as creating rainbow effects, rotating patterns, etc., you can choose a moving beam lamp with a high-quality prism system. Pay attention to the material and accuracy of the prism, and whether it can achieve smooth and stable rotation and change effects.

Mechanical properties Shaking Angle: The shaking Angle of the shaking beam lamp determines its lighting range and flexibility. In general, the horizontal shaking Angle should reach 540° or above, and the vertical shaking Angle should reach 270° or above, so that a full range of lighting coverage can be achieved to meet the lighting layout needs in different scenarios3.

Rotation speed: Rotation speed is very important for creating dynamic lighting effects. The faster rotation speed (e.g., several cycles per second) is suitable for creating dynamic and passionate atmospheres, such as discos, rock concerts, etc. The slower rotation speed is more suitable for some more soothing, elegant performances or scenes. The oscillating beam light with adjustable rotation speed can be flexibly adjusted according to actual needs.

Stability and durability: The structure of the lamp should be strong and durable, able to withstand frequent shaking of the head and bumps during transportation. Check the shell material of the lamp, the quality of the motor and the fastness of the connecting parts to ensure that the lamp will not be loose, shaken or damaged during long-term use. Some high-quality moving beam lamps also use special shock absorption design to reduce the damage to the luminaires during transportation and use.

Power adaptability: Choose a moving beam lamp that can adapt to a variety of voltage ranges (such as AC100V-240V), so that it can be convenient to use in different regions and occasions without worrying about voltage mismatch. At the same time, the lamp should have good power stability, can maintain normal work in the case of voltage fluctuations, to avoid light flicker or damage.

Ballast type: Ballast is used to start and stabilize the work of the light source. There are two common ballasts: inductive ballasts and electronic ballasts. Temperature control: A high-quality moving beam lamp should have a good temperature control function, which can automatically adjust the speed of the cooling fan according to the temperature inside the lamp, or automatically reduce the power of the light source or close the lamp when the temperature is too high to protect the lamp and light source from damage. Some lamps will also be equipped with temperature sensors and intelligent heat management systems to achieve more accurate temperature control.

Brand and after-sales brand reputation: Choose well-known brands of shaking head light, usually these brands have better protection in terms of product quality, process level and after-sales service. You can understand the brand's credibility and product quality by consulting product reviews, user reviews, industry reputation and other ways.
