CLIENT OVERVIEW

Edge Bar at VEA Newport Beach

Edge Bar, located at the luxurious VEA Newport Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Newport Beach, California, is the ultimate destination for refreshing drinks, coastal-inspired bites, and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. This vibrant hotspot is a favorite among locals and travelers alike, offering a seamless blend of relaxation and sophistication.

As part of the reimagined VEA experience, the resort integrates modern technology throughout its guest services, enhancing convenience and creating memorable moments. Whether enjoying the lively atmosphere of Edge Bar or exploring the resort’s premier amenities, guests are immersed in a setting that combines coastal charm with cutting-edge innovation.

OUR TASK

When VEA Newport Beach Marriott Resort & Spa sought to define the ambiance in their Edge Bar area and create a standout experience for their guests, they partnered with PixelFLEX to bring a unique LED installation to life. The goal was to upgrade the guest experience with dynamic, immersive visuals in an unexpected location: the ceiling.

To bring Marriott’s vision to life, the PixelFLEX team installed 54 FLEXStorm panels with a 6mm pixel pitch into the bar’s ceiling. The result was a weatherproof 28 x 19-foot LED screen, seamlessly integrated into the overhead structure. Since the bar is located next to the beach, this innovative installation was designed to withstand diverse environmental conditions while delivering stunning visual quality, even in bright settings.

The overhead LED screen transforms the bar into an immersive environment, offering a unique experience that goes beyond traditional dining. The ceiling comes alive with vibrant displays, dynamic lighting, and customizable visuals that can align with the bar’s theme, seasonal events, or live entertainment. Whether it’s streaming videos, showcasing brand content, or enhancing ambiance with artistic displays, the installation captivates and engages guests from every seat.

CLIENT OVERVIEW

The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, operated by Red Mountain Entertainment. It is the largest venue in West Alabama holding 7,500 and is used primarily for music performances. The amphitheater is located on Jack Warner Parkway, just beside the Hugh R. Thomas Bridge; only minutes away from the University of Alabama campus and blocks from the downtown.

OUR TASK

Working with ESB Group, the amphitheater was looking to replace its projection system which they operated since the venues opening in 2011. They needed a brighter solution as most nights the screens were washed out by ambient light from a later sunset in the summer months. Daytime usage was also impossible.
